A Grelha is the alfresco dining and drinking arm of The Gun; a lovely, beautifully decorated establishment near Blackwell DLR. Although the pub isn’t in the most convenient of areas (being a good 10 mins walk from Canary Wharf) it is worth a visit for it’s views across the Thames to the triumphant 02 and it’s chilled Portuguese ambiance.

The food is decent too; tempting pieces of peri peri chicken char-grilled to perfection and spicy bites of chorizo being just a couple of the delights on offer.

Come here for authentic sangria and Super Bock beer at reasonable prices. The Gun is also available for hire and it’s friendly and accommodating staff are sure to give you a fun and relaxed evening.

The specialty of the BBQ is it’s seafood and the grilled sardines are a gorgeous must. The produce comes direct from Billingsgate Market and you can tell the difference. Why bother firing up your rusty old grill at home when you can come here and avoid all the washing up?
