Tucked away discreetly down a side turning just off Piccadilly lies the newly refurbished Flemings Hotel. Founded in 1851 and consisting of six interconnecting Georgian townhouses, Flemings will appeal to those of you who like elegance and tradition together with a twist of contempory. The Grill is the latest part of the hotel to have undergone a substantial and luxurious makeover. Head Chef Simon Henbury’s cooking is European, with robust and bold flavours. Menu favourites include beetroot with goat’s cheese and bitter leaves, ravioli of lamb with peas and mint and wild Scottish salmon with salsify and picked fennel. To finish there are classics such as dark and white chocolate fondant with vanilla ice-cream. An extensive wine list completes the dining experience.
