Soak up the rich personality of The White Swan’s stylish dining room as you start your meal with a glass of Kent’s renowned sparkling wine, Chapel Down, followed by your choice of dishes including confit rabbit and foie gras terrine with apple and pear chutney or braised oxtail with parsnip puree and roast garlic. For mains, feast on traditional roasts such as leg of lamb with potato and celeriac puree, Brussels sprouts, cippolini onions and Madeira jus or breast of pheasant with boudin noir, creamed bacon and cabbage, chestnuts, fondant potato, caramelised apples and calvados jus.

Celebratory desserts include Armagnac prunes with Sauternes custard and shortbread or steamed chocolate and ginger pudding with vanilla bean ice cream, amongst others. In the true spirit of Christmas excess, an optional cheese and port course is also available, as well as coffee and petit fours.

During the Christmas period, those looking for a more exclusive affair can have sole use of the dining room for 44 guests, or the entire pub on Saturday only for parties between 80 and 130. This festive four course menu with wine, coffee and petit fours costs just £45 per person.
