THE PHEASANT WINS BEST BRITISH RESTAURANT

Last night, Gordon Ramsay’s The F word crowned The Pheasant in Keyston winner of the Best British Restaurant in their search for the UK’s Best Local Restaurant.

Beating stiff competition from The Swan in Kent, executive chef and owner, Jay Scrimshaw, together with head chef, Liam Goodwill, wowed diners with their delicious festive menu which included saddle of rabbit roasted and stuffed with homemade black pudding alongside creamed mashed potatoes, spinach, mustard sauce and bacon.

Watch in the new year to see just how far this fabulous pub from a sleepy farming village in Cambridgeshire can really go in the fight to become named The F Word’s Best Local Restaurant. The semi-final featuring The Pheasant will be broadcast on Wednesday 6th January at 9pm on Channel 4.
