Being Coeliac – eating out can be fraught – Here it was anything but on sitting down I was presented with a warm gluten free bread roll the bread was exceptional. I knew the rest of the meal was going to be good and I was not far wrong. The starter of smoked Salmon with baby artichokes and very delicate sauce cooked to perfection and beautifully served and all the flavors complimented each other. in between courses we had mini tartlets filled with smoked salmon, cavaier , olives exquisite.
I had for my main course Halibut, which as a fish lover , was cooked to perfection again this was served on a bed on mashed potatoes and
unfortunately forget the other ingredient but it was a superb combination. I could had I not been so full have eaten it again! My partner had the roast beef who assured me his beef was of the highest quality. Before the sweet course arrived we had a Chefs surprise which consisted of a little square glass of raspberry mousse with exploding crystals on top (my definition)
For sweet we both had the chocolate brulae and cherries in brandy with ice cream again beautifully served in individual dishes and with a great deal of thought.
In all a dining experience well worth reporting and certainly worth applauding – They proprietors and their staff worked exceptional hard and well to make it a wonderful lunch time.
Note: Coeliac disease is also called gluten intolerance or gluten sensitivity.
