Welcome to Del’Aziz the specialist Eastern Mediterranean restaurant, bar, boutique bakery and gift shop in London’s

From sun-up to sundown, from breakfast to dinner, coffee to cocktails, mezze to merguez sausages, charcuterie to cous
cous, Del’Aziz is a truly versatile treasure trove of foodie delights showcasing modern adaptations of traditional North
African, Central and Eastern Mediterranean cuisine, and an impressive array of specialist Mediterranean products, for

Designed by award-winning designer Shaun Clarkson (Carrington House, The Electric Birdcage), the glamorous space
is a contemporary take on an a colourful Middle Eastern bazaar and offers the ideal place for people to meet, shop, chat
and enjoy exquisite food in unusual and beautiful surroundings.

The Restaurant

The elegant restaurant explores the cuisines of North Africa and the Eastern and Central Mediterranean – from
Morocco and around The Lebanon, through to Greece and Turkey. Executive chef Mike Smith has created an exciting
menu that capture the intense, exotic, scented flavours prevalent throughout the region. In keeping with the style of food,
diners can enjoy their meal in the stylish restaurant complete with chestnut tables, hot pink glass columns, black lattice
woodwork, warm rust walls decorated with brushed gold motif and luxurious olive leather chairs. Alternatively, adjourn
to the striking alfresco area on Bermondsey Square, with its twinkling lanterns, ideal for a romantic evening.

Choose from over 15 mezze including marinated Kasaar cheese with pine nuts; florines stuffed with feta and herbs;
izmir ‘kefta’ meatballs; roast sardines chermoula; grilled Merguez sausages and a selection of delicious kebabs
including Persian chicken marinated in saffron and tiger prawns with chilli and lime.

As well as the mezze, there is a plethora of mouth-watering meats prepared on the grill. Flavoursome Moroccan
lamb fillet kebab with cumin sits alongside a variety of tagines including chicken with preserved lemon and olives
or lamb with prunes and almonds. Main dishes such as seven hour braised lamb shank with parsnip purée; falafel
burger served in a home-baked sesame bun with Israeli salad; and roasted peppers stuffed with saffron rice, pine nuts,
pistachios, raisins and herbs, ensure there’s something to suit most tastes and appetites.

The Bar

The seductive bar is an ideal retreat for an indulgent after-work drink or an aromatic late night cocktail. Large copper
Turkish tables adorned with steel and glass lanterns combine with a mirrored ceiling, hand-painted shisha pipes and
a stunning backdrop of pink velvet curtains to create a glamorous vibe. Pull up a stool at the oak and mirrored bar,
accentuated by a bespoke fushia and copper light shade, or relax on the alluring, low-slung coral cowhide chairs, pony
skin fringed stools or the shimmering banquette.

Cocktails, created exclusively by bar manager Mario Baptista, are as striking as the surroundings. Must trys for
trendsetters include their cocktails served in silver Morrocan teapots for up to three to share. Indulge in the unusual
‘Alexandrian Rasputin’, a mix of 42 Below passion fruit vodka, crushed strawberries and raspberries, and passion fruit
shaken with cloudy apple and pomegranate juices; or the ‘Del’ Aziz Grog’ an exotic blend of orange, pineapple and
mango juice, Caribbean rum, almonds and Angostura bitters. Alternatively, choose a crisp glass of wine from the strong
and reasonably priced list featuring intense, gutsy and robust wines from the Mediterranean, Lebanon and Morocco.

Take a step outside onto the Square to enjoy the variety of shisa tobacco on offer, from red or green apple to mint,
orange or watermelon. Those who prefer a smoother blend will enjoy the ‘Shisha Royale’, instead of water the hookah
pipe is filled with cold milk to soften the smoke and brandy or tequila, which adds a hint of flavour.

The Boutique Bakery

An epicentre for epicureans, the boutique bakery captures the Mediterranean tradition of sociable eating, with its huge
sharing tables, deli counter and open bakery, complete with glass front so you can watch skilled bakers whisk up your
favourite sweet and savoury treats from morning to night.

Speciality breads include walnut, pistachio, apricot or feta and olive whilst indulgent cakes, meringues and
pastries such as the delicious strawberry tart or pear and banana cake, will please those with a sweet tooth – perfect for
breakfast, elevenses, dessert or an afternoon energy boost.

Open from 7am, Del’Aziz is the ideal spot for breakfast or brunch with a menu that includes Berber pancakes;
scrambled eggs with salmon gravadlax and Moroccan muffins; Eggs Benedict; and the ‘Frying Pan’ – a hearty plate
featuring fried eggs, chorizo, bacon, onions, mushrooms, piquillo peppers, potatoes and melted cheese.
The huge selection of juices and smoothies provide a healthy and energising start to the day and include the
nourishing ‘Wake Up’, a delightful, sweet blend of apple, banana, oats, almonds, dates and milk and the revitalising ‘Rise
and Shine’, an invigorating mix of carrot, ginger, lemon and apple.

Eat in or take-away from the deli counter for light bites and lunch. Dishes on offer include a mouth watering selection
of quiches and tarts, mezze platters and salads, stuffed peppers, roasted vegetables, patés and preserves, cheese or
charcuterie plates and sandwiches made using home-made bread. When the sun is shining take advantage of the large
café-style outdoor seating area which overlooks a stunning Victorian Church set on a leafy green.
Unbeatable for a refreshing tea break, Del’Aziz offers an extensive list of over thirty unique artisan teas. Enjoy watching
the world go by whilst sipping on a smooth and luscious ‘Orange Dulce’, a rich dark brew teeming with notes of orange,
vanilla and jasmine blossom or catch up with friends over an uplifting pot of ‘African Nectar,’ a lovely floral blend of
African Rooibos leaves teeming with tropical fruit and blossoms.

Shopping
Del’Aziz’s gift shop has been designed as a contemporary take on a souk with diners seated amongst the eclectic array
of delights displayed on shelves, in overflowing baskets and on ancient tree stumps. Alongside a wealth of specialist
ingredients and fine and rare produce from the Mediterranean, Del’Aziz offers a wide range of exclusively designed
hand-crafted and beautifully decorated homeware and gift items. Colourful ceramics and tableware, tajine pots and
terracotta bowls, contemporary and classic glassware – such as the hand blown olive oil decanter by artist Rupert
Balamire – candles, baskets, lanterns and vases all nestle comfortably amongst strings of dried aubergines, jars of
colourful pickles and sweets, chutney, conserves, confectionary and sacks of speciality flours.
