About Us
We took over the Queen’s Head in November 2005 and have steadily developed
a strong reputation for pub dining. We take great pride in providing good
quality food and drink, complimented by warm and friendly service in a
cosy, comfortable environment.
Our Food
Our food offer focuses on freshly prepared dishes, made from locally
sourced ingredients in order to use the best of the produce that is
currently in season.
In short, we try to incorporate ‘Local – Fresh – Seasonal’ in to our menu
items. It is not always possible or practical to adhere to every aspect of
this but in essence, wherever we can, we do.
We take great pride in using local suppliers such as,
Conisbee Butchers of Ripley
Hilliard’s Grocers of Ewell
Simson’s Fisheries of Coulsdon
Surrey Hills Brewery of Shere
Watson’s Bakery of Ripley
Our Location
The Queen’s Head is rural pub located 4 miles west of Guildford just off
the A246 in a village called East Clandon.
We have taken our time to get our offer to the right standard and now we
feel as a business its time to peruse creditable food and service
recognition.
Mark Williams
Hi Mark, I came the other evening to have dinner with another couple of friends and asked you about possible bookings for events such as an eightieth birthday. My aunt will be the grand age of 80 and there may be as many as 30 people loooking for a good meal and, possibly some champagne before. The date we are looking at is either the Sunday 20th. July 2008 or Sunday two weeks later – the 3rd. August. Is it possible to send a possible menue to me at this address and I can then check this out with others in the party? A sense of how much this may cost would also be helpful.
Many thanks
and looking forward to hearing from you
Sincerely (Mrs,) Angie Cregeen
Mark, the Queens Head has become one of our favourite places to eat, exceptional food and customer service.
Keep up the good work.
How nice to have a lovely country pub that does good food and allows the dog inside!
