The Fuchs Winery – Weingut Fuchs – Traditional German Wine Estate
The Fuchs winery (Weingut Fuchs) is a traditional German wine estate,
owned by the Fuchs family who have been winemakers since 1626.
Weingut Fuchs presents 2007 Huxelrebe Verjuice. Verjuice is the juice of
green grapes, used instead of lemon or vinegar as a flavour enhancing
ingredient in cuisine. Verjuice was well known in ancient Europe and in
the Middle Ages as a delicious and healthy cooking ingredient as well as a
powerful medicine.
Huxelrebe is a grape with a very intensive flavour. The sourness of Fuchs
verjuice is much milder than that of vinegar and its scent much more
fragant than that of lemon. Because of the high quality of our verjuice,
Weingut Fuchs became an official supplier of German Euro-Toques in september 2007.
