Following the success of Sam’s Brasserie & Bar in Chiswick, owner Sam Harrison opened up Harrison’s in October 2007 in up and coming Balham. Harrison has once again teamed up again with Rick Stein and Rebecca Mascarenhas – to deliver a local brasserie that has fast become an integral part of the trendy Balham landscape.

Sam acquired the Balham Kitchen & Bar in southwest London from Soho House Group and transformed it into Harrison’s – a genuine local neighbourhood restaurant. The same formula which has made Sam’s Brasserie & Bar such a success with diners has been used at Harrison’s, focusing on modern European cuisine using the freshest produce from breakfast right through to late evening – served up in an informal brasserie style environment.

Harrison’s is a 90 seat restaurant with a 30 seat bar and a fantastic private basement bar that can accommodate up to 40 guests – ideal for private parties, celebrations and social events if guests are looking for something more exclusive.

Head Chef Dan Edwards, formerly of Launceston Place, delivers a wealth of modern brasserie food at Harrison’s. Mouthwatering dishes include delicate steamed wild Cornish mussels with chilli, basil and tomato, a hearty free range chicken pie and confit fillet of salmon served with fennel, tomatoes, baby gem and garlic cream.

Desserts don’t disappoint either at Harrison’s featuring a sinful white chocolate brulée with homemade shortbread and a warm rice pudding served with blueberry compote.

Careful attention has been paid by Sam to the wine list with over 50 hand selected wines. A constantly evolving cocktail list and a special cocktail of the day, every day, coupled with an interesting bar menu makes this local bar one of those places to see and be seen

Harrison’s continues to grow from strength to strength in Balham, South West London and has created a real buzz around the area that’s already set the benchmark in local neighbourhood restaurants.
