This Regeneration and Renewal Awards Ceremony has been initiated to recognise outstanding work in the economic, community and physical regeneration across the UK.
This has been bought about by market leaders Regeneration and Renewal Magazine (Haymarket Business Media) bringing together expert judges from across the UK to evaluate entries in terms of key factors such as originality, impact, financial viability, and benefit to local people.
One of the judges, Sam Tariff stated that Acorn House was “a fantastic example of a social enterprise which through culinary excellence demonstrates the principles of sustainability by promoting economic, social & environmental development”.
This UK wide recognition will inspire the current work of Shoreditch Trust in creating a second business model of the Acorn Restaurant ecologically aware and alert theme at a future mixed use scheme in Shoreditch.
