ANGELA HARTNETT WHISKS FEMALE CHEFS INTO ACTION

Angela Hartnett, one of the industry’s most talented and highly regarded chefs, is supporting the prestigious KNORR National Chef of the Year 2008 competition, run in partnership with the Craft Guild of Chefs, and calling on female chefs in the UK to throw their toques into the ring.

“As ever, I am extremely impressed with the quality of young female chefs in the industry today. It is so exciting to see the level of talent and skill produced by women working in kitchens throughout the UK”, comments Angela.

“I would love to see more female chefs recognised and rewarded for their contribution and I encourage more women to enter competitions, such as KNORR National Chef of the Year, to demonstrate their culinary skills.”

Open to all chefs over the age of 21 working within any sector of the UK hospitality industry, the KNORR National Chef of the Year competition acknowledges and rewards the crème de la crème of today’s chef talent with the winner securing a first prize of £10,000 alongside the coveted title.

Entry couldn’t be easier – simply download an application form by clicking on the KNORR National Chef of the Year link at www.unileverfoodsolutions.co.uk. Complete the application form and submit with a colour passport photo of yourself in chef whites.

The closing date for entries is Tuesday January 15, 2008.
