The Salisbury Tavern, Fulham – Reviewed
The Salisbury Tavern, Fulham – Reviewed By Gary Williams
I am writing of the newly refurbished Salisbury Tavern on the
corner of Dawes and Sherbrooke roads, Fulham.
I decided to go down there Saturday 7th February for dinner with some mates and was pleasantly
surprised by what the new owners have done with the place. It was light,
modern and vibrant in the bar area where we enjoyed a few drinks and some
table football before heading into the restaurant for our meal.
It was a warm, intimate environment mainly lit by little tea lights on each table.
We were seated by a friendly blonde girl and after ordering a nice bottle
of Pinot Noir was very impressed by the menu.
The food was great!
I had a starter of potted chicken & foie gras on toast with mango chutney(a steal
at 6 quid) followed by a main dish of rabbit with roast vegetables sauce
on soft mash. (again. very reasonable at 11 quid) It was delicious!!!!! I
hadn’t had rabbit in years but I will defineately be going back for that
dish again in the near future. The new owners have done a great job in
restoring this place and I for one will be making a habit of going there
every chance I get!!!
