Visited initially after Peter & Karen took over the pub a few months ago – Peter has a “foodie” site called food ideals so I was hoping it would be good – Called on the opening night and the food was excellent.

We went back the following Sunday May 22nd even though it is 60 miles away – the Sunday lunch was superb.

The home made soup (Celery) was to die for, and the sirloin was second to none.

With an ability to mix and match between the bar menu and restaurant menu
(without tutting) it is difficult not to find a course that does not hit
the right buttons – great atmosphere and friendly – good food without any
pretentions – excellent – called in twice since and will be going again
