Stables Market in Camden will play host to a brand new culinary experience as \u2018Shaka Zulu\u2019 opens its doors. Shaka Zulu is a hugely ambitious project to fuse African cuisine, Zulu culture and fine dining, all hosted in<br \/>\nopulent surroundings of hand-carved wood and African crafts.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Internationally renowned chef Barry Vera is in charge and he will be providing the most original and creative menu in the capital, using the very finest ingredients available, all backed up by the UK\u2019s largest selection of South African Wines.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Shaka Zulu is endorsed by the King and Queen of the Zulu people. The 750 seater restaurant has pledged \u00a31 for every meal to \u2018Education Africa\u2019. This charity does fantastic work with the poorest of Africa\u2019s children, helping to provide schooling, healthcare, and health education. Many of the King and Queen\u2019s people benefit from this charities activity. <\/p>\n<p>To support this, as well as Shaka Zulu\u2019s efforts to showcase the beauty of the Zulu culture, King Goodwill Zwelithini will officially bless the restaurant, in-keeping with the Zulu culture. This needs to be done before Bary Vera can cook a single dish in the venue.<\/p>\n<p>In celebration of this, on the morning of Wednesday 19th May, Barry Vera is taking his \u2018theatre of food\u2019 on to the streets of Camden. Barry will have a full kitchen set up outside the restaurant. Here he will be cooking some of his favorite dishes from the menu. These will include: Seared Ostrich, Cudu, Marinated Springbok, as well as the Shaka Zulu Signature dish \u2018Karoo Lamb\u2019. Traditional Zulu recipes will be on offer too, such as  \u2018Zulu Cabbage\u2019, cooked with bell pepper, tomato and spices, and \u2018Amazi\u2019 a dairy based Zulu delicacy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Barry Vera\u2019s food and style is all about originality and flare, just like the venue. This outdoor show will provide passers-by with culinary delights they will never before have experienced &#8211; a true \u2018Theatre of Food\u2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Barry will also be presented with Queen Mantfombi\u2019s own special, and top secret, chicken recipe, which will be incorporated in the menu.<\/p>\n<p>This will be a unique morning of activity set to brighten the day of Londoners who pass by as they are treated to the same culinary and cultural delights of Africa that will be the central focus of Shaka Zulu when it opens.<\/p>\n<h3>Shaka Zulu &#8211; Details<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Overview:<\/strong>\t Shaka Zulu is the new \u00a35.5m Restaurant, Bar, and all encompassing fashionable nightspot soon to open in a ground-breaking 27,000sqft, three floored location in Stables Market, Camden. <\/p>\n<p>Created on an unimaginable scale, Shaka Zulu is set to be the pinnacle of London\u2019s cosmopolitan scene.
