Over the next few weeks they are holding several Cheese Master Classes. The idea is that you get to try a whole host of fromages (ten in total) which have then been paired with marvellous wines. We tucked into a whole array of wonderful tastes and flavours, each cheese having been ripened to perfection (and served with lashings of crusty baguette) making the whole experience exhilarating as well as educational. Throughout the evening we tasted both cows and goats cheeses, including a creamy Murol, and perfumed Savarin with truffles. The wines on offer included a sharp and flinty Pouilly Fume and a fabulous 1er cru Louis Michel Chablis, all blending superbly. Staff are enthusiastic and attentive and can provide detailed knowledge on the subject. This really was an evening to savour and one I would thoroughly recommend.

The Master Class costs £50.00
Dates for 2009
6-7pm Tuesday 31st March
6-7pm Tuesday 28th April
6-7pm Tuesday 26th May
6-7pm Tuesday 30th June
6-7pm Tuesday 28th July
6-7pm Tuesday 25th August.

Reservations: 08000 191704

Festival de la Mer at Le Bouchon Breton
March /April 2009

Now that spring seems to definitely be on its way it’s time to celebrate.
