We were seated after a short wait and<br \/>\ngreeted politely by our server.  Unfortunately it went down hill from<br \/>\nthere.  We waited 15 minutes for our drinks to arrive.  By 1.40pm I had to<br \/>\ncatch our waitress&#8217;s eye to order.  Food came quickly and was great.  We<br \/>\nthen waited again for our plates to be cleared, and again, had to ask to<br \/>\norder dessert &#8211; our waitress then told us she would be with us shortly,<br \/>\nshe didn&#8217;t come straight away.  Food was again excellent, although my<br \/>\nfriend&#8217;s latte came in a cappuccino cup which was bad.  <strong>No one came to ask<br \/>\nif we wanted anything else, and by this time it was 3.20pm and our<br \/>\nwaitress was sitting at an adjoining table to us with her back to us,<br \/>\nfeeding her face. <\/strong> I had to go to the bar to get the bill.  And we then<br \/>\nhad to walk to the bar to pay it, no one came to collect it.  We left a<br \/>\nsmall tip, purely because the guys in the kitchen worked so hard, and when<br \/>\nthey (eventually) got our order they filled it really quickly and well.<\/p>\n<p><strong>All in all, it was a serious disappointment.<\/strong>  As a customer of the Oxford<br \/>\nbranch for over 10 years with never anything less than fantastic service<br \/>\nand food, someone needs to go into Witney and sort out the front of<br \/>\nservice staff.
