It has an enticing reputation of being seen as a rustic deli-style restaurant located in North Audley Street in Mayfair, just off London\u2019s bustling Oxford Street. Highly regarded, I eagerly searched online to check out Truc Verts organic menu. With dishes like line caught Sea Bass fillet with spiced roast aubergine, roast broccoli, roquette and citrus yoghurt dressing (\u00a317.25) <strong>I was so thrilled to head down to Mayfair, as this menu sounded absolutely captivating.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Upon entering Truc Vert it is clear from the crowd that this eatery is well liked by diners that appreciate good food, and do not necessarily require all the bells and whistles of fine dining. The d\u00e9cor is superb. Wooden tables are surrounded by open windows that let in plenty of warm sunlight. At the entrance, delectable deli favourites such as English, Spanish and Italian cheeses are on show. Alongside, are staple bottles of extra virgin olive oil, vinegars and mustards from Edmond Fallot. And, for a sweet touch, French honey and jams are all proudly displayed throughout the restaurant to temp you to take a little piece of foodie heaven home with you. <strong>Based on first impressions, this is my kind of place.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Once seated at our table my frustration that the online menu did not match the restaurant menu was soon silenced at the knowledge that Truc Vert reinvents its menu daily, based on what produce is at its best. Being a rather hot day, we skipped a starter and instead I sipped on a warm glass of Alain Milliat summer pear, quince and apple nectar juice (\u00a34.50). I had to ask for ice as this nectar was served far too warm for a hot summer day.  For our mains I wanted to try one of the yummy quiches (\u00a34.95) and salads (from \u00a35.50), but by 1:30pm all three choices had sold out. (Shame) I therefore ordered the fresh handmade pumpkin and ricotta ravioli served with a tomato basil sauce (\u00a314.95). Although it seemed too hot to be eating such a heavy dish, the large ravioli was fabulously tender and generously filled with sweet pumpkin and ricotta. The tomato and basil sauce cut through the heaviness of the ravioli in a non-threatening manner that lifted the entire dish to a lighter level. My guest opted for the grilled tuna steak with steamed bok choy, spiced roast aubergine, with a semi-sun dried tomato and citrus yoghurt dressing (\u00a316.95). The tuna was perfectly cooked and had a delicious smoky taste to it. This dish was nicely balanced, with the tuna being so hearty it could have been confused for a large piece of steak.<\/p>\n<p>For desert, I chose the fresh fruit tart (\u00a34.95), which was extremely creamy and yet light, topped off with seasonal berries that were a great combination of tangy and sweet. My guest had the mixed berry cr\u00e8me br\u00fbl\u00e9e (\u00a34.95) which was the ultimate winner. Although the caramel crust was slightly burnt, <strong>the br\u00fbl\u00e9e was heavenly and nicely chilled with the slight heat from the crust warming throughout the cr\u00e8me.  <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If I have a criticism it would be that the whole dining experience on my visit was rather drawn-out, mainly I believe due to inexperienced staff \/ new staff.
