{"id":132,"date":"2007-11-14T09:14:38","date_gmt":"2007-11-14T09:14:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dine-online.co.uk\/foodie\/bangladesh-caterers-association-annual-dinner-party-2007\/"},"modified":"2007-11-14T09:16:28","modified_gmt":"2007-11-14T09:16:28","slug":"bangladesh-caterers-association-annual-dinner-party-2007","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dine-online.co.uk\/foodie\/bangladesh-caterers-association-annual-dinner-party-2007\/","title":{"rendered":"Bangladesh Caterers Association Annual Dinner Party 2007"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Bangladesh Caterers\u2019 Association Annual Dinner Party 2007<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Bangladesh Caterers&#8217; Association VIP Annual Dinner &#8211; Rt Hon Ed Miliband MP, Lord Karan Bilimoria, Lord Neil Kinnock<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After the phenomenal success of the inaugural event, the founders of the Bangladesh Caterers\u2019 Association (BCA) UK Ltd &#8211; the umbrella organisation representing approximately 12,000 British-Bangladeshi restaurateurs in the UK &#8211; are proud to present the Bangladesh Caterers\u2019 Association Annual Dinner Party taking place on <strong>Sunday 2nd December 2007 at Hilton Park Lane, London. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The BCA Annual Dinner 2007 will mark the 47th anniversary of the association\u2019s establishment and is revered as the most prestigious awards ceremony of its kind in the UK specifically created to reward the very best of Bangladeshi restaurants that play a significant role in contributing to the nation\u2019s economy and wealth. <strong>At present, the restaurant industry employs more than 90,000 people, of mostly Bangladeshi origin, with an estimated yearly turnover of \u00a33.5 billion and the BCA are at the forefront of representing and organising various activities to promote Bangladeshi cuisine in the UK and Europe.<\/strong> The event also recognises and awards the organisation\u2019s veterans, applauding them for their continuous loyalty and hard work since the inception of the BCA in 1960, and the efforts of community leaders who have devoted their time and effort within their respective institutions and industry.<\/p>\n<p>The theme for the BCA Annual Dinner 2007 is \u2018Tastes to Share, Food to Admire\u2019, which will profile the glorious history of Bangladeshi cuisine, with a retrospect on the changed tastes it has created for the UK\u2019s burgeoning food market who hail Bangladeshi food such as chicken-tikka-masala as Britain\u2019s National Dish.<\/p>\n<p>The gala event is the largest annual congregation of restaurateurs, who attend to meet and exchange views with other fellow restaurateurs concerning their personal success stories, future policies affecting curry business, and to meet high-level Government policy makers.
