The venue

In the centre of one the world’s culinary capitals, L’atelier des Chefs is within reach of thousands of Londoners. Equipped with two sleek glass-fronted kitchens and two communal dining areas, L’atelier des Chefs pride themselves on their inviting and friendly set-up. L’atelier des Chefs also boasts two communal dining areas, where you can enjoy the fruits of your labour with your fellow cooks. Their store also stocks a wide range of valuable kitchen utensils and equipment chosen by in-house chefs with everything you need to kit out your kitchen from everyday essentials to original and modern gadgets. Everything is there to encourage you to try before you buy so that, when you have finished cooking you have everything you need to put your new skills into practice at home.

The classes

There is no such thing as ‘can’t cook, won’t cook’. Inviting everyone from the apprehensive ‘bread and butter cook’ to the ‘die hard foodie’ this all-abilities cooking venue heralds a new generation of cookery class. All the chefs have one common aim – to share their passion for food through simple, everyday recipes. With up to seven classes a day the chefs teach everything from a short practical session to a full 4-hour Masterclass. Catering for everyone’s cooking desires and, most importantly, for all levels of skill, you can learn everything from innovative dishes to a classic, traditional repertoire. After the class you can then build your own, personalised online recipe book which you can refer to whenever and wherever you wish, whether preparing a romantic meal for two, a large dinner party or a cocktail and canapé evening. Video recipes are also available online to help guide you through each process step by step.

Past, Present and Future

With their roots in Paris the founding brothers, Nicolas and Francois Bergerault, noticed that the French were ‘falling out of love’ with cooking, and so launched L’atelier des Chefs in 2004. Their aim was to revitalise the relationship between French urbanites and cooking and to entice people back into the kitchen. Achieving huge success in France, L’atelier des Chefs turned towards another great culinary capital; London. Creating an affordable, non-pretentious cooking environment and eradicating the idea that you need plenty of spare time, disposable income and an extensive knowledge of cooking, L’atelier des Chefs opened on Wigmore Street to provide a cooking class for all- ‘everyday cooking for everyday people’. Its first and signature class, ‘Cook, Eat and Run’ is specifically designed to fit into your lunch break.

L’atelier des Chefs are also looking to the future, hosting cooking classes for children from eight years old and teaching them healthy and fun dishes that can be shared by the entire family – truly putting cooking and food back into the heart of a healthy lifestyle

And for pudding…

L’atelier des Chefs offers the best of all worlds. Pioneering a new shift in dining trends, L’atelier des Chefs also offers bespoke corporate and team building events. Designed to encourage your teams to bond whilst teaching genuinely useful, transferable skills, to spend quality time with your clients and, above all, to put a smile on faces and a feast on your plates, contact L’atelier des Chef to organise an unforgettable and original event.
