Hawksmoor Seven Dials, the eagerly awaited second steak restaurant and bar from Will Beckett and Huw Gott will now be opening on 1st November 2010.

While the head chef Richard Turner and his team are busily putting final touches on the menu, the details of the new cocktail list are slowly emerging. Pete Jeary, Hawksmoor Spitalfields bar manager (Lonsdale, Rockwell) will be introducing The Bridging Hour cocktails – a selection of drinks created specifically for the time between lunch and the early evening cocktail hour. Popular in the pre-Prohibition golden era of American cocktails, the Bridging Hour drinks, such as The Dandy (Hennessy VS cognac, stirred with maraschino, sugar and Benedictine and topped with Champagne) will set the mood for the evening ahead perfectly. The Anti-fogmatic section on the other hand is full of ‘eye-openers’ specifically created for the morning after – the brunch cocktails will feature a selection of Bloody Mary’s and a Bucks Fizz adapted from a 1921 recipe.
