The Knaypa - a Polish
Restaurant in King Street, Hammersmith,
West London
....the best of traditional Polish
cuisine with a modern touch from
head chef Darek Koch.
The Knaypa is an exciting new
Polish restaurant on King Street
in Hammersmith, West London. Spread
over two floors, The Knaypa offers
different dining experiences on
the upper and lower levels: the
ground floor is colourful, chic
and modern whereas downstairs is
an entirely different proposition
with rustic wooden furniture, atmospheric
lighting and homely atmosphere.
The contrasting dining areas
are reflected in the menu that
brings together the best of traditional
Polish cuisine with a modern
touch from head chef Darek Koch.
As well as Polish staples such
as pierogi, golabki and bigos,
dishes include ‘Soured
Rye Flour Soup with White Sausage,
Ceps, Marjoram and Quail Eggs’, ‘King
Prawns with Braised Fennel & Basmati
Rice’, ‘Beef Roulade
filled with Smoked Bacon, Pickled
Cucumber & Pan-Fried Onions
served with Kasha and Salad’, ‘Pan
Fried Salmon Fillet with Creamed
Spinach’ and ‘Traditional
Baked Polish Cheesecake’.
Knaypa’s cellar boasts
some superb accompanying beverages
to our food menu with a fine
selection of Polish beers and
vodkas, both plain and flavoured,
and a small but perfectly formed
wine list.
The Knaypa is open seven days
a week for both lunch and dinner
so, as they say in Poland, “Eat,
drink and loosen your belt!”
