the UK based Restaurant and Hotel Review
If you are looking for a family friendly restaurant where children can indulge in culinary delights of the same standard as you, seven days a week, then head to Idaho in Highate, N6.
On arrival, enlist your little rascals into the Idaho Kid's Club where as members they will receive an Idaho kid's club T-shirt and a free birthday meal plus crayons & paper to keep them occupied.
Idaho's weekday 'food for kids' menu (available Monday - Friday) includes chicken bacon and tomato wrap, lamb faflta with red peppers, avocado and sour cream and cheese and mushroom quesadillas with side order selections such as white and sweet potato gratin and tomato salad.
During the weekend Idaho follows in the footsteps of sister restaurant Canyon winner of the Time Out Award for Best Brunch, by offering a brunch menu for adults and kids alike that's definitely worth waking up for.
Little darlings can tuck into a range of brunch dishes including; smoked salmon, cream cheese and chive bagel; chicken, bacon and roast pepper wrap or achiote gdlled chicken burrito, avocado, tomato and cucumber salsa alongside child-size smoothies and fruit juices.
Equally mouthwatering, is the 'grown ups' brunch menu. Choose from sweet and savoury dishes, light bites and hearty plates such as Idaho buttermilk pancakes with maple syrup and roasted bananas; huevos rancheros with chorizo, corn tortilla, black beans, fried egg and ranchero sauce; or smoked haddock, potato and green chili hash as well as a range of fresh juices, fruit smoothies and great cocktails.
Add to this, child friendly staff, high chairs and baby changing facilities, and Idaho is truly a restaurant catering for appetites of all ages.
